00 depending upon experience and qualifications.
Benefits include health, vision and dental insurance, state retirement plan (PERS), participation in the West Virginia Deferred Compensation 457 Plan with a 1% automatic employer contribution and an employer match of up to 3% employee contributions, merit-based pay scale, including approved COLA adjustment, tuition reimbursement program, holiday, vacation and sick leave compensation.

Description:
Charles Town is seeking a Planning and Permits Technician to process building permits, land use and related applications and provide technical and administrative support to members of the Community Development Department.
This position interacts extensively with the public.
Educating applicants about the City's relevant ordinances, regulations, zoning, and review processes are all important components of this position.
This position requires a team player who is organized, efficient, an effective communicator and customer-service focused.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma and three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
An associate degree may be substituted for work experience.
